New Delhi: Auto shares were trading mixed with the Nifty Auto index down 0.23 per cent at 9239.45 on Tuesday. Shares of Bajaj Auto (up 1.74 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (up 1.36 per cent), Bharat Forge (up 1.18 per cent) and Tata Motors (DVR) (up 0.94 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Mahindra Mahindra (down 1.94 per cent), Bosch (down 1.78 per cent), Apollo Tyres (down 0.70 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India (down 0.51 per cent) were trading in the red.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 21.95 points at 10,861.8 while BSE Sensex was down 119.29 points at 36,121.71.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Sun Pharma, Bank of Baroda, Idea Cellular, Ashok Leyland, Indiabulls Housing Finance, ICICI Bank, LT Fin Holding, Tata Motors, SBI, Hindalco Industries, Indian Oil Corp, Motherson Sumi, Infosys, SAIL and ONGC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
