Tata Power posted an 88.46 per cent surge in second-quarter profit on Monday, underpinned by higher revenue from its power business.Net profit came in at Rs 336 crore ($42.65 million) for the quarter ended Sept.
30, up from Rs 178 crore a year earlier, the power generator and distributor said.Revenue from operations rose 6.7 per cent to Rs 7,333 crore, while revenue from its power business gained nearly 8 per cent.The company had incurred a one-off charge of about Rs 149 crore in the same quarter last year.
