The Islamic Emirate on Tuesday signed a multi-million dollar agreement with Turkish 77 Company for a new cement factory in the Yatim Taq area of Jawzjan Province in northern Afghanistan.The contract was checked in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund.Turkish 77 Company will invest $163 million in the factory, which will have a day-to-day output of 3,000 lots of cement when completed.Also in participation on Tuesday were officials from the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum who specified that the contract, which enables the Turkish company to check out, extract, produce cement, and deliver social services, stands for 30 years.The facility of this cement production plant will directly produce around 1,200 jobs for regional citizens.In addition to the finalizing of this contract, the ministry likewise tattooed agreements worth $476 million with numerous domestic and foreign companies for cement tasks in Jabal al-Saraj, Kandahar, and Herat.The IEA has said this remains in line with their goal of propelling the nation towards self-sufficiency in the cement sector.
