The Ministry of National Defense says Mali khan Sadiq, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, has visited Dandpatan district of Paktia province to investigate the situation and spent time with security forces stationed along the Durand Line.This comes after clashes broke out this week between border forces following Pakistan&s deadly airstrikes in Paktika and Khost provinces on Monday.During his visit to the area, Sadiq told Afghan border forces: &We are not in favor of war, if there is an attack on our territory, our experienced forces will not remain indifferent and will immediately respond to it.&The Islamic Emirate has meanwhile condemned Pakistan&s airstrikes on Afghanistan, calling it a violation of the country&s airspace and warned that such attacks would have consequences for Pakistan.The post Deputy chief of army staff visits Paktia to assess border tensions first appeared on Ariana News.
