Police have used water cannons to disperse a protest near the Parliament Roundabout a short while ago, Ada Derana reporter said.The relevant protest march was organised by the womens wing of the National Peoples Power (NPP) this morning (04) against the rising cost of living, unbearable tax burden on the people and other issues in the country.Riot police had resorted to using water cannons as the protesters attempted to march towards the Parliament along the Parliament Road, the reporter said.
