Madurai: The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) on Thursday said it had rescued 662 fishermen who had been missing in sea after cyclone Ockhi lashed the area last week. Out of the 662 fishermen, 259 hailed from Tamil Nadu, the Coast Guard said in a statement.

It said CG ships were continuing searches in Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands, Kerala and Karnataka
