KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 5Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring the safety, interests, and career development of doctors and healthcare workers dedicated to serving the people. Govt serious on policy reforms in share market, Finance Minister says Russia's Luna-25 spacecraft crashes into the moon, ending its bid to reach the lunar south pole Addressing the 4th convocation ceremony of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), he expressed deep concern over the series of attacks on healthcare workers, including doctors, and highlighted the government's efforts to address these issues through legal measures following discussions with medical professionals.PM Dahal urged all doctors and healthcare workers to maintain their confidence and trust in their profession.

He stated that the government is actively working to increase investment in the healthcare sector and create employment opportunities for healthcare professionals within the country. Furthermore, PM Dahal stressed the importance of realizing the citizen's right to health and called for concerted efforts to ensure that rights and opportunities are provided to the poor, destitute, and backward communities.He also shared the significance of NAMS in producing qualified human resources for advanced medical studies and research, as well as providing quality healthcare services to citizens.PM Dahal expressed his satisfaction with the progress in Nepal's healthcare sector, including the expansion of facilities such as Bir Hospital, the National Trauma Centre, Nursing Campus, and medical institutes both in and outside the Kathmandu Valley.In his capacity as the Chancellor of NAMS, PM Dahal pledged additional government investment to expand and enhance Bir Hospital.

He also highlighted that a total of 3,523 hospital beds were made available free of charge for the benefit of the poor and vulnerable population throughout the country.During the ceremony, a total of 541 medical graduates and postgraduates from NAMS were honored. .
