A Police Constable who was in the possession of ‘Ice’ (Crystal Methamphetamine) has been arrested in the Trincomalee area during the ‘Yukthiya’ special police operation.The raid has been carried out by Trincomalee police division’s Crimes Unit yesterday (Jan.

10).There, the cop in question, who is attached to Kopay Police, was apprehended along with 50 grams of ‘Ice’.The arrested officer, who had joined the police service in September 2021 and completed the basic training, had been serving at the Kopay Police.At the time of the arrest, he had been on leave without reporting to work, claiming to be ill.
